Mouth
and Trousers Street Arts Theatre Company first formed in
1997 and have been performing at festivals and events throughout
the UK and Europe.
We use clowning and verbal improvisation to create visually
compelling and wryly humourous street performances with an acidic
twist of social commentary.
The company has been specializing in interactive roving performances
and by mid 2003 we will have developed static shows. |
|
We
currently have three shows now in production.
Teatro da dog|The
Lawnmowermen|The Budgerigars
The first street show was "Manic Street Cleaners"
was a devised piece drawing heavily on improvisation, group
complicite and clowning skills.
This show toured the South East region in 1997 and 1998. (this
is not inproduction)
The second devised show "Teatro Da Dog" was
commissioned by The National Street Arts Fund and Zap Productions.
In 1999.
This show has toured all over the UK in Street Arts Festivals,
The Millenium Dome and Edinburgh Y2K celebrations, and also
Europe.
The third show, The Lawnmower Men was co-commission by
The Winchester Hatfair and Southern Arts in 2001 and premiered
at The Winchester Hatfair.
The fourth show, The Budgerigars was self-financed and
premiered at The Oerol Festival in Terschelling, Holland 2002. |
